Job Description
At Swim Newton, we are currently seeking a Swim Instructor who is passionate about teaching swimming lessons to children. As a Swim Instructor, you will lead swim programs and offer both group and individual lessons customized to fit the needs of kids of different ages and skill levels. This role is perfect for students from who not only love swimming but also have excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire young swimmers to develop a deep appreciation for the water. Responsibilities:
Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
Maintain a safe and encouraging learning environment for all students
Monitor and evaluate student progress, offering feedback and support as necessary
Requirements:
Previous experience working with students of varying ages and abilities, ideally in an educational or instructional capacity
Proficiency in different swim strokes and techniques, with a solid understanding of water safety and survival skills
Certification in CPR & First Aid (for infants, children, and adults)
Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, time management, and innovative teaching techniques
Effective behavior management skills, able to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
Experience in childcare or coaching sports is a plus, showcasing expertise in working with children in a structured environment
A genuine love and passion for swimming and working with children is a must
